A Closer Look
Find Something to Remember
A look is but a glance – a closer look is
something more – one that requires time,
appreciation, and imagination. It may recall your
memories – those which occupy a special place
in your heart, a special time in your life.
Through the pages of The Key, we hope to help
you take another look – a closer look at the
Goldey Beacom College year, 1976. May we
borrow a few moments of your time – and
imagination?
You cannot just stand there, peering through a
door. You must go through that door. Relive with
us the year. Turn the page – and take a closer
look at Goldey Beacom.

Editor’s Message
I cannot begin to thank Emily Seward for all the many
hours of work she has given to this year’s yearbook. Our sincere
thanks.
The Yearbook Staff took what we were told was an impossibility
and made it a reality. I hope that The Key has begun
a new tradition at Goldey Beacom College.
There are also those who have us many ideas and help;
these people know who they are and I thank them sincerely.
Make the Key your memories today and continue to create
these memories with each publication of a Goldey Beacom
Yearbook.

Congratulations and Best Wishes to the Class of 1976
In certain that many of you chose to attend Goldey Beacom College for many of th same reasons I had in mind when I first entered the College as a student almost 30 years ago, seeking the best training I could find which, in the shortest time possible, would enable me to secure a reasonably good job which would offer good experience and opportunities for advancement. My personal experience proved to me that the training was excellent. Just as important, however was the direction, encouragement, and suggestions I received from teachers and other staff members who motivated me to continue my education through the graduate level. I hope that each of you will learn to appreciate, as I did, the quality of the training received and the value of the personal relationships which develop while a student at Goldey Beacom College.
Of extreme importance in our lives are the attitude we develop toward our work and the effort that we devote to it. We must be willing to do more than just that which is required of us; to develop an understanding of all people with whom we are associated and being willing to work cooperatively with them. Helping others to achieve their goals contributes in a large measure to our own success. In the final analysis, though, each of us is primarily the product of his or her own efforts. Gain as much as you can from every experience, whether in a formal classroom setting or elsewhere. Visit us whenever you can and keep us informed of your achievements. We sincerely wish for each of you achieve all those tings for which you strive.

Student Government

During the past year much has been accomplished both behind the scenes and in the public eye. Regular meetings were held with open participation of the student body. We, the students, have made Student Government what it has been in the past year; strong, working to accomplish our goals. It is my hope that this trend will continue. The Officers and Senate have stood up for you. We have set up open, working communications with the administration and faculty. Recommendations have been made to the objectives of the college, most all were accepted and carried out. I cannot thank all who cared about their college and Student Government enough. It was your determination and dedication that helped us accomplish what we did.
Best Wishes,
George Young
